This is a review for Mario Kart: Double Dash on Nintendo Gamecube. This is reveiwed by both Mike and Steve.

Mike says: This game is incredible. It is different from its brothers the other three Mario Kart games. Now first of all there are 16 characters to choose from instead of 8. You get to choose 2 and then you get to choose your own kart. Now the racing in this game is the same pick up weapons huck them at opponents. But they actually made the A.I stand a chance in this game. Also you get to use specials, like a chomp chomp that rumages through the course for a minute or Bowser's giant shell or Mario and Luigi's fireballs. Unfortunatly the A.I also uses the weapons. So if you play 2 Player you not only have to worry about your buddies hitting you with a red shell but also the comps. Now the battle for this game is alright, they have four levels that are not exactly the funnest. But three methods of battle, Bomb, shine, or the original baloon. Now I must say they could have put in more modes, I would have loved to see a one driver mode and make the two drivers and option. Or for the battles I would have loved to see more levels instead of the four boring ones. And the battles are not fun for just two players it is actually more of a 4 player if you want maximum fun. But you can also team up with your buddy and play together in one car and race, one person drives the other uses the weapons. That is pretty cool. Overall I give this game an 8/10.

Steve says: Well like Mike was saying it is a very fun game. The two player team up thing is great. The head to head is fun too. Especially the bomb battle when you huck bombs at eachother, or lay them down and watch your opponent run them over. (Mike thinks that is cheap). The A.I is pretty damn hard when you go up in the CC's especially 150CC. I remember Mario Kart 64 even being on Extra the A.I wasn't that hard. The specials are great, but they are also used against you as well. And when you are shocked by a lightening bolt, you loose the items you hold which is annoying. So the difficulty of this game is like no other of the same titles. I give this game a 7/10.
