DBZ Budokai 2: Mike says: The sequal to the first good Dragonball Z game. Now this game is really fun, lots of refererences to the show. (Of course they try to put more plot on the game than the show hahaha) I love the board game type gameplay where you have to move from one space to another. And everyone but Goku has only a torso while on this board game. Now the cell shading makes them look closer to the show than the first game but I hate cell shading, thats a pet peave. Also its not very different from the first game, the controls are the same, you basically do the same thing ...fight and unlock characters. Also the loading time is horendous for the PS2, I have some N64 games that take less long to load. And they didn't bother to change Cell's voice from imperfect to perfect when fighting him as perfect, but when he talks before you fight him he has Perfect Cell's voice. So overall I give this game a 7.5/10
Steve says: This game rocks! It is a lot more fun than the first game, I really only wanted it for Majin Buu...heh heh, but this game has a lot of great features although we have been only playing the adventure mode, there are a lot of the same modes. The AI in this game is super tough, they are not idiots at all and most of them are quite challenging. Especially when you get to the higher parts of the game. The AI is so hard it made Mike throw the controller and turn off the game, he was fighting Majin Cell...yes thats right, like Mike said, they tried adding more plot to this game than the show has. The loading is very bad, but the Master Roshi spinning thing replaces the dragon ball radar in a more fun loading game, of course I wish they didn't have the loading game and it would only take a couple seconds to load. I give this game a 10/10.
Advantages: +This game has great gameplay
+It has all the same action
+Gotta love Majin Buu.
Disadvantages: -Long loading time.
-Nothing changed from the last game
- Cell' voice
